Recycling  /  Mixed Recycling

Dry mixed recycling, one simple bin.

Paper, card, plastic bottles and cans in a single recycling bin, sorted properly at a materials recovery facility. The easy win for offices that want to recycle without overcomplicating it.

Not every site can run six separate streams, and they do not need to. Dry mixed recycling puts clean paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, cans and tins into one bin, which we collect and send to a materials recovery facility where it is machine and hand sorted into separate grades. It is the simplest way for an office or small business to divert the bulk of its waste from general disposal: one bin, one collection, and full reporting on what was recovered. Keep food and glass out and the quality stays high.

Who it is for: Offices, professional services, small businesses and retail back-office.

One bin, less hassle

Paper, card, plastics and cans together, sorted downstream at a recovery facility.

Most of your waste, diverted

For a typical office this is the single biggest move away from general waste.

Recovery reporting plus the separation the 2025 rules expect.

FAQ

Mixed Recycling, common questions.

What can go in dry mixed recycling?

Clean paper and card, plastic bottles and tubs, and cans and tins. Keep out food, glass, and anything wet or greasy, which contaminate the load.

Does it really get recycled if it is all in one bin?

Yes. It goes to a materials recovery facility where automated and manual sorting separates it into clean grades for reprocessing. Keeping contamination low is what keeps it working.

Do I still need separate food and glass?

Usually yes. Food must be separated under the 2025 rules, and glass is best kept out of mixed recycling because it shatters and contaminates. We can set those up alongside.
