Zero to Landfill

Reduce, re-use, recycle, recover

FJL Recycling takes great pride in the fact that we are a ‘Zero to landfill’ waste management company – is is arguably one of the most important parts of what we do and one of the founding principles on which the company was built – along with value and simplicity. But what does it mean to you?

When we collect your business waste, we will take care that as much waste is reused, recovered or recycled as possible to ensure that absolutely no waste that our customers produce will end up in a landfill site.

FJL Recycling specialise in  Zero to landfill recycling for recycling glass, paper, plastics, cans, dry mixed recyclables, food waste and general waste.  Each waste stream is dealt with in the correct way, so food waste and glass waste have their own unique paths for waste disposal and means by which they can be recovered, reused or recycled.Working with our clients in this way ensures that our Zero to landfill recycling system offers the best solution for business and for the environment.

We have a responsibility to reduce as much waste ending up in landfill as we possibly can. Our landfill sites are overstretched as it is and it is not sustainable to keep filling them indefinitely.

  • Reduce your Carbon Footprint

By lowering the CO2 (carbon dioxide) and methane you produce from your waste

Glass Recycling Solutions:

Businesses in the hospitality industry and retail such as hotels, pubs, restaurants, gastropubs, shops, supermarkets etc. Pubs produce a large quantity of glass bottles every day.  They need to be recycled –  plus any glass breakages too!

The UK business sector currently throws away about  200,000 tonnes of glass every year, that still ends up in landfill – we want to change that!

General Waste Recycling Solutions:

After you have recycled the glass, paper, plastic and food, the general waste is the stuff that’s left over. In domestic situations this will be thrown in a black bag destined for landfill, but for business wastes that’s just not good enough! There is always something that can be done and we do it! Zero to landfill is the only way – It’s the FJL way.
